One of the unsung heroes of the Philippine Revolution, Papa Don led his colleagues in the battles that took place between the invaders of his beloved country. He was foreman in a sugar cane plantation before joining the armed struggle for the independence of his country. His contribution to the revolution was lost since, and now the cane that he once cut, honors him. His energy and spirit are present in every bottle of this rum produced in limited quantities.
Aromatic nose, fruity.
Orange peel, vanilla, honey and candied fruit.
The finish is woody and spicy.
PHILIPPINES / NEGROS ISLAND
For over a century, Negros was recognized as the 'sugar bowl' of the Philippines. From 1850 until the 1980s, sugar cane dominated the landscape of this beautiful island with deserted white beaches and lush jungles. The rich volcanic soils produce sugarcane among the most complex and gentle on the planet, and the great historic houses scattered on the island reflect the rich history of his time.
